A Match Made in Heaven

Here's a tale that should be told
of what faith and love can do,
And what miracles are wrought
when the faithful "pray on through."

How a guy with a future
loves a girl with a past,
And his friends all warn him
it'll never last...

For that girl craves the night-life
and she loves all the men,
So she'll break his heart...
it's just a matter of when.

But the guy with a future
has a prayed-up aunt,
And she knows God can do
what a mortal man can't.

And the prayed-up aunt
has a Jesus-lovin' friend ~
And they pray for days,
and for weeks on end.

And they pray for that nephew
and his girlfriend with the past,
And they cast out demons
and they bind them fast.

And they pray loud and long
and they praise and shout,
Till their voices ring in Heaven,
till their voices give out!

Still, they hold this couple
before The Throne,
And their tears flow freely
and they start to moan.

But they never give up ~
they stand on God's Word,
And a peace comes upon them
for they know He's heard.

And the guy with a future
falls down on his knees,
And he suddenly asks
would God save him, please.

And the same thing happens
to the girl with a past,
Who's been loose and easy,
who's lived hard and fast...

She repents her lifestyle
that was full of sin,
And she gives her heart
and asks Jesus in.

And the devil rages!
'cause he lost this time;
But the angels rejoice!
as all Heaven's bells chime!

So, the guy with a future
weds the girl with a past,
And their hearts prove loyal
and their love steadfast.

They live happily ever after
to the very end...
All for prayers of an aunt
and her Jesus-lovin' friend!
