Fathers labor for families needs
They also do good deeds
Yet find the time to spare
He has hopes dreams he cares
He makes time for prayer
In jesus name of many cares
We marvel at his courage
To go hunting in camoflage
Clothes-in an american forrest
So grizzly can be his quest
A fathers caring ways
Dissolves our doubts and fears
With such kind conduct to amaze
To wipe away our tears
A fathers' love has patience
He's understanding in some circumstances
When we hurt or disappoint him
By things we say or do to him
His arms are always open
Along with heavenly fathers' in heaven
with love that won't fail
Steadfast strength to lean on
When trials of life prevail
A fathers' shoulder to lean on
For many years his presence
Was a blessing set apart
When he dies to leave us thence
He lives on within the heart.
