"Bubba.... Billy Bob.... & Boomer"
Boomer's Revenge
Billy Bob, I tell ya, buddy
it's the same ol' worn out tune:
Master's got but one word, Bubba,
only one word: Coon, Coon, Coon!
"Don't chase squirrels an' don't chase rabbits,
leave thet fox an' sheep alone,
Wait until yew spy a coon, boy!"
Coons is all he's ever known.
I got talents undiscovered,
thangs 'bout me he's never knowed,
I wuz meant fer better thangs, Bub,
bin thet way since I wuz growed.
"I growed yew fer treein' coons, boy,
an' thet's all I 'spect ta see...
Don't go sniffin' them blamed rabbits,
hares don't mean a thang ta me."
Bubba, I feel so dang wasted,
he's ignorin' me, I swear,
I got moves thet he ain't seen yet,
he don't know an' he don't care.
I kin sniff out whut's the difference
'tween a coyote an' a fox,
But the Master thanks I'm useless,
dumber than a box of rocks!
Sumday I will git my propers:
a blue ribbon ~ trophy cup,
I'll sniff out a white-tailed deer,
I'll dress 'er out an' serve 'er up!
When he gits how go-o-od thet deer tastes,
he'll be sorry, wait an' see,
If he ain't, I'll git a collar,
tie him nekkid to a tree...
Then I'll go an' git sum hunny,
pore it on thet big buffoon,
Stick fried chicken twixt his toes-like,
then call sweetly: Coon! Coon!! Coon!!!

Did you ever walk into a room
and forget why you walked in?
I think that's how dogs
spend their lives.
