Christmas Today

Lights and tinsel and days of shopping.
So many people in every store.
All there looking for some gift,
to make them loved even more!

Children looking for Santa everywhere.
With hearts filled with hope and joy.
Always to me seems so very sad,
they don't know about that Baby boy!

They should be told that God sent His Son,
that day so long, long ago.
He was born in a stable and died on a cross,
because God loves us so!

It really wasn't on the day we call Christmas.
That day our Savior came to Earth.
But it is the day our ancestors have chosen.
So we say Christmas is the day of His birth!

So celebrate Christmas with all of your heart.
But share with your kids the true Story.
Of Jesus, who came to Earth on this day,
to spread the good news of God's glory!
