Hearts at Half MastGod bless our soldiers and their wives... so far apart but hearts always touching... Their hearts are at half mast as they protect our land. There’s no way they are whole, no way they that they can. For part of that heart is missing, the part they love the most. That heart is many miles away, farther than coast to coast. For those two hearts are yearning for the other to return. But the battles not over yet, their hearts will continue to churn. The loneliness that each of those hearts feel is tremendous pain. They ask for so very little, just wanting to be together once again. Let’s remember the sacrifice that these soldiers and wives feel. For it’s very intense and hugely unselfish, but it is absolutely real. And let this violent war end soon so the hearts can again be one. This is the victory I have been praying for, when this war is done. Try to have a happy Valentines Day, with both hearts standing by. So when your hearts can be rejoined they both will be flying high.
