I'm Singing A New Song

Today I'm singing a new song,
Jesus taught me well:
He said "singing heals the fearful"
And will keep us out of hell!

When I wake up in the morning,
I thank Jesus for this day,
He walks along beside me,
Though my feet are mired in clay.

He shares with me each morning,
In the garden of my heart:
He digs out the weeds of destruction,
And gives seeds of LOVE a start!

He opens new doors of blessedness,
He introduces me to His friends...
We sit together each morning,
He teaches me on Him to depend.

Lack of love is this world's problem,
It's been buried and burned away...
So many times we are too busy,
To help a disallusioned castaway!

"LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF"
That's what the Scriptures say...
Yet it's never to late to help another,
As we take time to kneel and pray.

When we follow God's instructions,
Our love will pave the way...
To happiness and peace of mind,
And eternity will save us from the fray!

Today I sing a new song
Of thanksgiving and praise...
I'm on my way to heaven,
I can hear angelic voices raise!
