Lower Me
My nose is too high. I breath in the clouds That roam through the sky I'm selfish and stingy, I think that I'm better. I'm lazy at times And not a go-getter. I'm bossy, they say; I don't doubt that it's true. And now, dearest God, I am coming to You. Lower me, Lord To the depths of the sea. I do not deserve What you've given to me. Take my head in the sky And bring it way down. Lower me, Lord, To the deep, deep ground. Give me Your grace, Let all pride depart, And lower me into The realms of Your heart. ~ Alyssa Marie Bentham ~
