Poet's Prayer

There are words that You want said,
Place these words inside my head;
Jesus, speak through me as I
Write the words that You supply.

There are hearts You want to reach,
Truths that only You can teach;
Unsaved souls that yearn for You,
Wonders only You can do.

If You want a willing heart
That will eagerly impart
Each new thought that comes from Thee,
Here am I, dear Lord, use me.

Let this yielded piece of clay
Write the words You want to say;
Please anoint my writing pen,
This I humbly pray, Amen.
