Quiet Time With God

I love to spend quiet time with You.

You are my closest friend.

I share with You my innermost thoughts,

And with You, I never pretend.



I am always open and honest with You,

For You perceive what I知 going through.

You are near and ready to minister me,

If I give all my burdens to You.



When I feel I知 on a merry-go-round,

My world spinning out of control.

You hear my cries as I call to You.

Your Spirit flows and soothes my soul.



You remind me You池e walking beside me,

During the times I知 tossed and blown.

You admonish me "walk by faith not sight,"

For You池e with me ~ I知 never alone.



Because I知 one of Your children,

And You池e my Father whom I wish to obey.

I値l remember Your promise You give me.

You won't forsake or cast me away.



When life's problems come my way,

My response will glorify You.

I will be joyful and give You praise,

No matter what I have to go through.



After spending this quiet time with You,

Just the two of us together.

I can then go out and face the world,

For there's nothing "we" can't weather.
