Reminders

Why do we need reminders
For things we know so well
The last thing our thoughts find
Are the first they should tell

I know enough when in woe
To go to God in prayer
Yet I find myself somehow
Forgetting to leave it there

I meditate upon my bed
I recall a promise He made
"Rest in Me" is what He said
How could I let that fade

Thank God for His caring
To bring life to the Spirit within
This special kind of sharing
Helps keep us free from sin
