Tears In The Water

September 11, 2001 (Tuesday) - For all victims of the terrorism tragedy in the United States of America.

The lady in the harbor weeps,
As this giant of a city sleeps
Still standing there, erect and proud,
Flowing gown never worn as a shroud

Keeper of freedom, straight and tall
If only she could hug Americans all,
Put her arms around those who cry,
Whisper...Don't give up, you must try

Look towards me, I'll always stand
As a shining symbol for this great land
Watch my tears fall into the sea below,
A broken heart soon will mend and grow

For our people once again shall unite,
Pulling together with a furious might
Like other Patriots in days gone by,
They'll find once more a peaceful sky

Heart-broken, with tear-filled eyes, we will rise up stronger than ever before. I trust in the Lord always.
