The Slain Lamb

Precious is the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.
He has no beginning or ending that is true.
It was in the mind of God that He be slain for me and you.

Jesus was with the Father when this earth and everything was made.
The fellowship they had was sweet and pure.
All the while they had us in mind and that, I am very sure.

God was sad because of the disobedience of the first man and woman,
Many tragic things happened before God sent his Son to this earth.
The time finally came for Jesus' timely birth.

Jesus lived, loved, taught. and showed His love to everyone.
He walked among the lowliest of people In his day.
He healed the sick and feeble, and showed salvation's way.

It came His time to die upon a cruel rugged cross.
He had never hated anyone or sinned you see.
But He was willing to be sent to die for sinners just like you and me.

He was the slain Lamb that took our sins upon Himself.
Had it not been for the Savior there would be no hope.
Many eyes are still blinded to this fact, and in the darkness they grope.

His pierced hands are still outstretched for the world.
Pray for God to remove the veil so blinded eyes can see the light.
Christians lets do our part to spread the Word and win the fight.
