Faith and Evolution (boy prays for teacher)

A boy named Bob, age 14, was a Christian. However, he was in a science class with a teacher that stated at the start of the year he was an evolutionist, and by the end of the school year he would have all the Christians believing in evolution. There were 5 other Christians in the class besides Bob. As the year went by in the science class, one by one the Christian students fell away from their belief. The teacher would challenge Bob with questions trying to get him to deny the existence of God. When questioned about God being real, Bob always said he had faith in God and believed the Bible.

On the last day of school, the frustrated science teacher stood in the front of the class with a raw egg in his hand and said to the class: The school year is over, I have changed all the believers in God in this class but Bob. Then he said to Bob: If your God is real, I want you to pray to him, and when I drop this raw egg it will bounce when it hits the floor. If it breaks, then that will prove there is no God. Bob stood up and prayed: "Lord, when the teacher drops the egg, and it breaks in a million pieces, let the teacher drop dead on the spot."

The teacher held the egg in his hand, looked at Bob, then the egg, and stood very still for a long time. Then he went to his desk and very carefully put the egg in the drawer, and walked out of the classroom. This little story illustrates the truth that all men know God, but some suppress the truth in their unrighteousness, as the Bible teaches us in chapter 1 of Romans.
