Help Me, Jesus

Help me, Jesus, to seek your sweet face
and to navigate life at a compassionate pace.

Teach me respect for my fellow man;
that when he's in need, to reach out my hand.

Infuse me with courage when I am too weak,
and grant me your wisdom whenever I speak.

When the world around me seems cold and so bleak,
let me find, in your name, the comfort I seek.

Lift up the burdens that I cannot bear.
Place your hand on my shoulder to show you are there.

Open my eyes, Lord, allow me to see
the purpose in life you intended for me.

May I always be grateful for blessings received
and wisely reject all attempts to deceive.

Let me bask in the warmth of your never-ending story,
secure in your promise of Heaven's great glory.
