Prolonged Agony

Help for Chronic Sufferers

How could we ever be at ease,
to do exactly as we please..
if, we never knew excruciating pain?

For into each life
comes struggle, then strife
Not just for our good, but for gain.

If we are to share in His glory
Then we must share in His suffering, too
And once we've experienced endurance
We understand, there is nothing more true..

Than, 'I will never leave you or forsake you'
'Lo, I am with you, even unto the end'
For Christ in us is the necessary proof
He is our Saviour.. and He is our Best Friend.

"Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which comes upon you to prove you, as though something strange were happening to you. Rather rejoice in so far as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when His glory is revealed."
1 St. Peter 3:12-13
