What areas of your life do you define yourself by?

Your job? Where you live? Your family? What you have?

For instance, when you meet someone new, what do you tell them about yourself first? Those are the things you are defining yourself by.

IN this world, we have become far to interested and obsessed with what we have, and the value of what we have, that we have been headed down a dark road for a while.

So here it is: every possession you own will turn into dust. It will be enjoyed by someone else some day, or rot in a dump. If it defines you, then you are defining yourself with something that will ultimately be worth nothing. And you are always worth something.

Life would be better if we focused on things that truly last, even beyond our own lives. When we quit valuing our lives and others by possessions and worldly “worth” then we can be free enough to share life together with those around us.

Don’t introduce yourself with what you have or what you do. Really share what you dream of, who you are deep inside. Share a vision of greater things to come.

Let us not be weighed down by the what we do and do not have, but let us be freed by the heart to do great things.

Eat, drink, dance, be merry because life is for the living!
